We have been "elfed"!!!!

Well last night was our Christmas Program at church.  After the program I went home and Keelie's Elf on the Shelve "Elfey" had been up to no good!!!!!  I was not too happy with the mess that was made and Jeremy sure wasn't LOL.  Keelie was spending the night with a friend, so I called them and told they needed to come by the house that something had happened....Keelie was like " oh no what did Elfey do"  Here are the pics.
Elfey had made snow angels on my cabinets in flour

WhooHoo for Kamron

Well it is a tradition in our household to hunt on Thanksgiving.  Every year we go spend the night at my mom and dads house the night Wednesday night and Thursday night of Thanksgiving so that the boys can hunt.  Well this year Jeremy inducted Dustin and Konnor in that tradition. LOL  If any of yall know Dustin you probably just fell out in the floor laughing, because we all did!!!!   Well I got a phone call about 7:10 Thanksgiving morning, and it was Kamron and he said.....Mom I shot an 8 pointer.  And my response was no you didn't what do you want. :)  He is always telling me he shot a huge deer and he really didn't.  But he said mom I promise this time no lying, I'll send you a picture.  And he actually did shot an 8 pointer.  Way to go Kamron!!!  This was the first big buck he has ever shot.

Stolen from my sister

I stole my sisters post today to add to mine :)

Something a little different!

Melia and I had a chance to participate in something a little different than what we normally do. My great-uncle, Jack Kelly (yes, my dad is named after him), is a very very big UAH Charger basketball (and Alabama football! Roll Tide!) supporter and has been for years. He actually travels across the United States with them during their season to watch them play (did I mention he is in his 80s? :)) Uncle Jack donated the money for UAH to do some upgrades to their program, and in return, UAH dedicated their ball court to Uncle Jack, except he asked that they name it the "George Artis and Ethel Atchley Kelly Court" which is my great-grandparents. They had a court dedication between the mens and womens basketball games last night (November 14th 2011). It was actually pretty cool! They had court-side seats set up for the family....I never realized how HUGE college basketball players were, it was a little scary being that close to them!! lol. Kade went with us and he was thrilled, he loved every minute of it. Below is the official logo that is on the court and the press release that UAH has on their website. I took a lot of pictures but haven't downloaded them yet, I will add those when I get them finished.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Following a very generous donation from retired Huntsville businessman Jack Kelly, the gymnasium playing floor at Spragins Hall will be named the George Artis and Ethel Atchley Kelly Court, the University of Alabama in Huntsville Department of Athletics announced Monday.

The naming of the court was approved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama System on Sept. 16, and the logo will be painted on the floor on Oct. 11-12 to ensure that the floor will bear the new name in time for Midnight Madness, which will take place on Oct. 15 at 12:01 a.m.

“Jack Kelly is a man who is widely respected in the Huntsville community, and it is with great pleasure that we adorn our basketball and volleyball playing court with the names of both of his parents," said Director of Athletics Dr. E.J. Brophy. "Mr. Kelly has always been a strong supporter of UAH Athletics and we greatly appreciate his generosity as we continue to strive to take our athletic programs to new heights”.

The Kelly gift will make possible the creation of a state-of-the-art film room, additional donor room, locker room renovations and video boards in the Spragins Gymnasium. The Chargers are coming off of an impressive 29-5 campaign in 2010-11 that saw them win the Gulf South Conference East Division crown, the South Regional Championship and advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass.

Wow it has been FOREVER

I didn't realize how long it had been since I blogged.  Oh well I am sure no one missed me.  But anyway!

Lots going on right now.  Kylee is getting married very soon, so I have been showering, and giving pep talks to the mother of the bride to try and keep her motivated and moving during these last 3 weeks.

I just really wanted to say Happy 8th Birthday to my baby!  I cannot believe she is 8.  If you look at her today you would never know the trouble she had coming into this world.  If it wasn't by Gods hand we would not have made it this far so well.  Happy Birthday Keelie Cat!!!

This is Lily, Keelie's birthday present.  She is already spoiled rotten and we all love her to death.

Here is the one and only Ms. Priss!

Girls Lunch Out

One of my friends of many years asked me to lunch today, and of course I said yes.  Then a few others decided to go.  This really made my day......week......month!!!!  It is so great to have friends that you rarely get to hang out with get together and it like you are with them all the time.  I really miss my friends that I grew up with, even though I love where I live and my mountain friends LOL.  I have been going thru this lull in my life and this really made my day!  I really hope we will be able to get together more often.
